Organic Australian Aloe Vera

Wonder why we include Organic Australian Aloe Vera in many of our soap?

Know by such names as a healing plant, miracle plant, first-aid plant, lily of the desert, jelly leek, plant of life and plant of immortality, aloe vera, and related species are well-loved and widely used around the world and for good reason.

Originally a native of South and East Africa, this incredible healing plant flourishes in warm, dry climates such as the Mediterranean. We source our organic Aloe Vera from Queensland where the predictable warm climate is perfect for Aloe to thrive and grow. While there are approximately 400 species of Aloe, it is the Barbadensis Miller, or "true aloe," referred to as Aloe vera, that possesses the most miraculous healing properties.

Aloe contains at least 140 individual beneficial ingredients from 70 essential nutrients including an abundance of vitamins, minerals, enzymes, protein, phytosterols, and amino acids.

Aloe vera contains vitamin A, B1 (thiamine), B2 (riboflavin), B3 (niacin), B6 (pyridoxine), B12 (cyanocobalamin), choline, vitamin C (ascorbic acid), E (tocopherol), and folic acid, also rich in the minerals calcium, chlorine, copper, germanium, iron, magnesium, manganese, potassium, silicon, sodium, sulfur, and zinc. Aloe vera is also high in phytosterol which is anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial, so incredibly effective against a broad spectrum of micro-organisms.

Aloe vera contains up to six potent antiseptic agents that kill or control mold, bacteria, fungus, and viruses which is no surprise Aloe's incredible ability to eliminate many internal and external infections. Aloe vera also contains at least 23 polypeptides, or immune stimulators, no wonder it is used internally and topically. 

Aloe vera has been shown to heal as well as to prevent radiation burns, cut the healing time of fire burns, healing ulcers, dermatitis, and skin diseases caused by parasites. Aloe Vera has great results in healing cuts, blister, sores, and acne. It greatly improves skin texture and helps eliminate dryness, itching, caused by skin diseases. Studies have even shown that aloe regenerates skin cells.

The beneficial use of Aloe Vera dates back thousands of years. For those of the Christian faith, it is well known the use of aloe for Jesus' burial, the scripture can be found in The New Testament, John 19:38-40.
